Britain has gone a bit bbq mad lately with quite a few restaurants opening in London within the last few years. Some have gotten horrible reviews and some have gone from food truck to proper restaurant due to their popularity. So when I read that the best barbecue in Britain was in Brighton, I had to make the trip south.
The World's End pub looks like any other pub in Britain with one exception- instead of pub grub, you'll find barbecue from the BBQ Shack.
The man behind the food apparently learnt how to barbecue in the state of Texas and has won a few awards for his food here in Britain.

You'll notice I included the words 'in Britain' above. When it comes to opinions on BBQ food, I really only trust the opinion of fellow Americans. The ribs above are a reason why. According to the Brit reviews I read, they are supposed to be amazing. They're okay.

I ordered my standard pulled pork sandwich and I was impressed. They served it the traditional way with slaw inside and it was tasty. Definitely the best coleslaw I've had in this country. The pulled pork was pretty good too even though it was lukewarm.
So is BBQ Shack the best barbecue in Britain?
I still haven't tried Pitt Cue...
