My shelves are becoming fuller by the day with amazing blue and white transferware.
It all started with a few plates from Ralph Lauren on the Fulham Road. When I got home, I immediately looked up the maker and discovered Burleigh.
It's a piece of pure English history.
Started in 1851, Burleigh uses English clay to produce their transferware using the original 19th century machinery.
Every piece is made by hand.
Isn't it lovely?
The online shop is fast becoming my best friend. I discovered last night that all 'seconds' are 50% off so it's a great time to stock up. I even did some preemptive Christmas shopping.
Happy shopping!

Love it, so pretty!

When I read your blog, I always think, wow we have such similar taste! The difference is you actually have things that represent "our" taste...so maybe I just want to be like you!

Caitlin- HA! I'm still working on it. I think as we age our tastes evolve so it's normal to end up with a lot that doesn't really feel like you anymore. I'm really trying hard to think through home purchases and not just buy 'stuff' b/c I like it. Believe me, there is a lot I have that doesn't really fit in with my taste anymore. It also doesn't hurt when places like this have a sale. Slowly but surely I feel like I'm getting there.
