When I was a little girl, I can vividly remember spending hours looking at my grandmother's collection of sea glass. My grandparents used to spend time in Maine and often strolled along the beaches looking for little treasures.
Each piece of brilliantly coloured smooth glass is indeed something special. I've read recently that finding sea glass in the US is becoming quite rare as so many things are now made of plastic and littering is discouraged.
Which means each piece is even more prized.
If you grew up by the sea, you know it stays with you forever. The scent of salty air, the stickiness of saltwater on skin and cool ocean breezes are something you never forget.
Is all this talk making you long for a holiday?
Good, me too.
Maybe a little trip is in order...
Destination?
Kennebunkport
The Cottages at Cabot Cove are the perfect place to escape.

The only dilemma will be choosing a cottage.

They're all so lovely it really will be hard to choose.

But once you do? It'll be idyllic.

Doesn't it look like heaven on earth?
I need to visit.
Maybe I'll even find my own sea glass.
Until then, how about some sea inspired treats?
Sea Glass Necklace
Essie Nailpolish
Pomeroy Candle, Sea Grass and Lotus Blossom
Rocky Ring
Maine Perfume
The only question that remains is:
When do we leave for Maine?
