I know, right- you're thinking BASINGSTOKE?! Yes, I spent 3 days there for work and it really wasn't bad. Festival Place with Starbucks serving Pumpkin Spiced Lattes, beautiful countryside and rainbows all made for a pretty pleasant visit.

This show finally made it to these shores and I admit to watching every episode after getting hooked.

Man v Food

Have you ever seen this show?

The show is about a man who travels America trying the best or most unique food in each city and competing in a food challenge.

I rarely watch it because it makes me hungry.

Last week when I saw him with a philly cheese steak, I wanted a philly cheese steak too. I had to turn it over because it was actually making me miserable.

Then, yesterday morning when I saw him at a place in Michigan with over two billion burger combos available, all I could think about was burgers.

He made a double cheeseburger with carmelised onions in worcester sauce topped with fried egg and bacon.

I wanted one too.

So, I made one.

I can blame TV for this, right?

I'm Loving {May Edition}

Sorry for the radio silence, it was totally unplanned! However, a little break does everyone good now and then. In my case, it was work overload (we're talking 50 hour weeks!) and I hope things have calmed down for a while.

I'm very happy that ATK has made it to the UK and my tivo is filling up nicely with old episodes.

L'Oreal Sulfate Free Shampoo

I noticed a change in my hair after just a few uses so this is a shampoo I will be using for a while.

Blackberries

Our local Costco has packs of Driscoll's blackberries and they are delicious. I've been mixing mine with yogurt for a healthy snack.

Pancake Day reignited my love of the pancake and we had them twice for dinner in as many weeks. Of course, I had to try the bacon pancake I've seen all over the internet because bacon makes everything better.

BA&SH

Seriously every thing BA&SH does, I love. I don't know why. Oh wait, yes I do- it's because shopping is cheaper than a psychologist.

Can you believe it's October? Me neither!

These are the things I loved in September:

Garnier Simply Essentials Eye Makeup Remover

I ran out of Clinique and ended up picking this up in Boots for use the same evening. Since it was only £3 I knew even if I hated it, I wouldn't be upset at wasting money. I love it. It's just as good as Clinique and less than 1/4 of the price. Winner!

 

Downton Abbey

So happy it's time for Season (or Series as the English say) 2! Actually, I'm happy it's that time again for all the TV shows to return.

 

Pink Lemonade

I can't believe summer arrived the last week of September. Nothing reminds me of childhood summers like drinking lemonade out of a jar.

 

Pie

I've been eating my fair share of pie lately. I bought some mini pie dishes at Crate & Barrel which makes it so easy to whip up two varieties at once and they are a steal at $2. Of course they also make it quite easy to polish off an entire pie in one sitting. Be warned!
